2021 REMEMBRANCE DAY POPPY CAMPAIGN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Join us on Sunday October 31st from 9:30 – 14:00 to volunteer for the Poppy campaign! Earn Volunteer Service Hours for high school, while helping our local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion distribute poppies. Sign up here
Meeting location is the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 641, 3500 Fallowfield Road. You will be dispatched to a local store or business from there with your poppy box.
PLEASE NOTE: To keep everyone safe and maintain social distancing procedures, your parent will be required required to drive you to your location and pick you up there at the end of your shift.
Lunch is provided by the Legion and be distributed to your location between 11:30am and 12:30pm.
Officer in charge: Capt Tessier.
Dress in order of priority:
- DEU with wedge (blue uniform)
- FTU with wedge (field uniform)
- Civilian clothing – dress pants and white shirt
Parka, toque, gloves and black mask are mandatory for all. If you don’t have them, Capt Tessier will issue them to you before you depart the Legion for your shift.
Squadron staff will pick up your poppy box at your location at the end of your shift before you leave for home.
If for any reason you can no longer take part in the Poppy Campaign, please unregister yourself so that another cadet can take part.
