Board of Directors Election – Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 7:00pm
Behind the scenes of the 75 Squadron, a dedicated group of volunteers comprise the Board of Directors for the Squadron Sponsoring Committee. This group is responsible for managing the finances, fundraising and securing of facilities for the cadets and their activities. These dedicated volunteers help out with various activities including, but not limited to the band program, biathlon, public speaking, canteen, supporting training exercises and more.
Are you interested in volunteering, or sitting on the Board of Directors? On Thursday, May 25, 2023 we are encouraging people to come to our annual election. Even if you don’t want to run for a position on our Board of Directors, we are looking for volunteers to help support the ongoing activities of the Squadron. Many hands make light work!
We will be meeting in the cafeteria of Pierre-de-Blois High School at 1310 Chapman Mills Dr, Nepean. At 7:00 pm we will answer questions and then hold an election process for the Board of Directors. We would like to encourage parents, guardians and supporters of the Squadron to attend and participate.
Don’t have time to volunteer? Consider helping us out financially, to keep all aspects of the program free and accessible to all by making a donation.
If you are looking for a charitable receipt, the best option is to submit the donation to the
provincial office (we are part of the Quebec region for cadets). You have two options:
1) For an e-transfer, the e-mail address is [email protected] . Identify our squadron and include your name and address so a tax receipt can be issued. You can use the question “Donation for” and the answer “ESCADRON75” on the e-transfer. Please let us know when you make the donation and for how much at [email protected] We can then follow up with the provincial treasurer to ensure the money is forwarded to our Squadron.
2) If it is a cheque, it should be addressed to “La Ligue des cadets de l’Air du Canada”. It should also be sent with the name and address of the donor (for the tax receipt) and identify the squadron. This can be delivered to an Squadron Sponsoring Committee member on Thursday evenings at the school. We will mail it to the league.
