Holiday Activity Night 

This week will be a holiday themed and fun activity night that will include a movie and demonstration from our band. Cadets are encouraged to wear appropriate pyjamas, ugly sweaters, and/or festive clothing. There will be a best dress competition too, so bring out your best festive clothing (prizes will be given out too)!

Cadet Training Stand Down

This Thursday will be our last training night for this calendar year. Thursday training will resume January 11, 2024

Mess Dinner 

All cadets are invited to attend our formal Mess Dinner. This is a great opportunity to learn CAF customs, while getting to know your peers. This will take place at 6:00 PM at the Hylands Golf Club (2101 Alert Rd, Gloucester, ON K1V 1J9) on January 20th, 2024.

Dress: Mess attire that consists of full uniform with tunic, white-collared dress shirt, black bow tie (C-8). Cadets without mess attire may wear their full uniform (C-2) that consists of the blue tunic, shirt and pants.Cadets without uniforms must wear white shirt, black pants. Cadets are not to wear their wedge.Females are permitted to have a formal up-do, instead of a bun/braid.

Price: Deposit of $25 per person to confirm attendance. $20 of this deposit will be returned at the Mess Dinner. Should you not make the event, your deposit will be used to cover the cost of your pre-paid meal. 

Cadets may submit their deposit to the Sponsoring Committee in-person or via e-transfer. E-transfers are to be sent to [email protected]. E-transfers are to include the first and last name of the participating cadet(s)

Cadets are to sign-up and flag their dietary restrictions here no later than January 15, 2024. Please note that there are limited spots for this activity, cadets are encouraged to sign up as soon as they are able to do so.

Outdoor Footwear at Pierre de Blois High School 

All cadets are not to wear outdoor shoes to cadets and will be expected to arrive with two pairs of footwear (outdoor and indoor). There will be a designated area for cadets to change from their outdoor to indoor footwear. There will be consequences for cadets who do not follow this direction that include not being allowed into the gymnasium area and being sent home.

Please consult the squadron calendar on our website for details (i.e. sign up, transportation etc.) for upcoming general and optional team activities. While we understand that situations may unexpectedly arise from time to time, we expect that parents pick up their child in a timely manner from all cadet activities per their respective timings.

Cadet Canteen

Our canteen runs at break time each Thursday. We offer a variety of snacks and drinks for sale. Payment can be made via Square (Interac debit/Visa) with a $5 minimum, and cash. Items range from 50 cents to $1.50 each.

Cadet with Anaphylaxis Medical Conditions

As per direction we have received from our chain of command  (Regional Medical Liaison Section) and to ensure safety, all cadets with an anaphylaxis medical condition are required to bring and present two epi-pens to all cadet training activities. Cadets with anaphylaxis condition are to show their epi-pens on Thursday nights to the Administration Section. For all other cadet activities, cadet are to show their epi-pens to the supervising adult staff member(s).
