This Thursday will be a regular training night for all cadets.  The dress for this week is C5 (FTU) or appropriate civilian attire if exchange of uniform is required with Supply. Cadets are to wear a white dress shirt and dark coloured pants if they have not yet been issued their uniform. Arrival time is 18:30 at Ecole Secondaire Pierre-De-Blois, 1310 Chapman Mills Dr, Nepean, Ontario, K2J 6L9. Outdoor Footwear at Pierre de Blois High School

All cadets are not to wear outdoor shoes to cadets and will be expected to arrive with two pairs of footwear (outdoor and indoor). There will be a designated area for cadets to change from their outdoor to indoor footwear. There will be consequences for cadets who do not follow this direction that include not being allowed into the gymnasium area and being sent home.

Cadet with Anaphylaxis Medical Conditions

As per direction we have received from our chain of command  (Regional Medical Liaison Section) and to ensure safety, all cadets with an anaphylaxis medical condition are required to bring and present two epi-pens to all cadet training activities. Cadets with anaphylaxis condition are to show their epi-pens on Thursday nights to the Administration Section. For all other cadet activities, cadet are to show their epi-pens to the supervising adult staff member(s).

Upcoming Activities

Please consult the squadron calendar on our website for details (i.e. sign up, transportation etc.) for upcoming general and optional team activities.

While we understand that situations may unexpectedly arise from time to time, we expect that parents pick up their child in a timely manner from all cadet activities per their respective timings.

Cadet Community Engagement Days

Since the beginning of the pandemic, our fundraising has been reduced to almost nil. As we look to the future, and to continue with our programs, we will beholding 2 Community Engagement Days, October 21st and 22nd. Cadets will fill 2 hours shifts outside various retail locations to collect donations and engage with the public. Cadet volunteers can register for a 2 hour shift on Oct 21th and/ Oct 22nd by registering here. Cadets can receive volunteer hours for this activity.

Cadets are to return DEU (Blue) uniforms that don’t fit starting. This will allow Supply to have enough blue uniforms to issue in the coming months.

Cadets that are not returning to training this year are to return their uniform on September 28, 2023.

Reminder that uniform parts are provided free of charge, but on loan for the duration of your membership in the cadet program, therefore they must be returned when exchanging them for another size or when leaving the Squadron.

For new cadets, you will be measured during training nights, and will be receiving your FTU a few weeks into the training year. Should you have any questions, please contact the Supply Officer, Capt Tessier ([email protected]).
